Quick Access to Key Information

What Is a Dubai Express Visa?

A Dubai express visa, also called an emergency Dubai visa, same-day UAE visa, fast-track or priority UAE entry permit, is a priority-processed UAE tourist entry permit. It is not a separate visa category: it is the same official UAE tourist visa issued by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICP) or the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), delivered by email as a PDF e-visa. The only difference from a standard tourist visa is the speed of handling.

On UAE working days, Arabiers typically delivers eligible express applications in 4 to 8 hours, a pace reflected in hundreds of customer reviews that describe 2, 3 and 4-hour turnarounds (see reviews below). Across our last 411 applications the measured average was 4 hours 20 minutes from first message to delivery. Express is a priority handling tier on top of the standard UAE tourist visa process, and final approval always rests with UAE immigration.

Source for the visa type, fees, validity and verification: ICP (icp.gov.ae) and GDRFA Dubai (gdrfad.gov.ae). The 4-to-8-hour turnaround and the measured averages are Arabiers' own processing performance, not a government commitment.

Emergency Visa and Fast-Track Dubai Visa

An emergency Dubai visa and a fast-track Dubai visa are the same service as the Dubai express visa: the standard UAE tourist entry permit, processed on a priority tier and typically delivered in 4 to 8 hours on UAE working days. Whether you call it an emergency Dubai visa, a fast-track Dubai visa or an express visa, it is one product, issued by ICP or GDRFA and verifiable on icp.gov.ae.

How Much Does a Dubai Express Visa Cost? (2026 Updated Fees)

The cost of a Dubai express visa has two components: the standard UAE government visa fee, and an express processing surcharge charged by the licensed agency. The all-inclusive pricing (no hidden charges) for 2026 is:

Visa Type All-Inclusive Price
30 days, single entry AED 789 (about USD 215)
60 days, single entry AED 989 (about USD 269)
30 days, multiple entry AED 1,190 (about USD 324)
60 days, multiple entry AED 1,390 (about USD 378)

All prices include the UAE government visa fee, express processing surcharge, typing fee, and PRO (Public Relations Officer) fee. There are no additional charges at checkout.

Note: UAE immigration fees are subject to revision. Prices shown are verified as of June 2026. Children under 18 travelling with a parent may qualify for a reduced fee confirm at the time of application.

Are visa fees refundable?

No. Under UAE immigration regulations administered by ICP and GDRFA, all visa fees are non-refundable once processing begins, regardless of outcome. This is a government rule, not an agency policy.

I had to make a new tourist visa instead of non-visa entry after 90 days, and I had to do it on a Sunday. No other company guaranteed it would work. But Mr Dilsath did it early morning on Sunday. The best.

I was stuck at the airport in China while travelling to Dubai when I realised I needed a visa. They responded straight away and assisted me with applying for a Dubai tourist visa. Arabiers really came through for me in getting my Dubai visa in just 7 hours. I was initially skeptical due to all the visa scams I had heard about online, but Arabiers proved to be highly professional. How Long Does a Dubai Express Visa Take?

Realistic Processing Times

A Dubai express visa is typically delivered within 4 to 8 hours on UAE working days, measured from your first message to the approved e-visa landing in your inbox. That is the published service window and it is what Arabiers commits to. Measured performance across 411 applications in Q1 2026 averaged 4 hours 20 minutes end to end. Weekend applications take longer. Every approval decision rests with UAE immigration, and no agency can guarantee an outcome or a time.

Applications received before 12:00 PM UAE time on a working day are prioritised in the same-day batch.

How the UAE working week affects your application

Since 1 January 2022 the UAE has operated a four-and-a-half-day working week. Full working days run Monday to Thursday, Friday is a half day ending at 12:00 PM, and the weekend falls on Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday. This matters because ICP is a federal body and GDRFA Dubai follows the Dubai government calendar. Many visa websites still describe the old Sunday-to-Thursday week.

  • Monday to Thursday: full processing. Submit before 12:00 PM UAE time for the same-day priority batch.
  • Friday: processing to 12:00 PM. Applications received after midday are handled on the next available batch.
  • Saturday and Sunday: the UAE weekend. Applications still clear, but more slowly. Q1 2026 weekend average for immigration approval was 7 hours 30 minutes against 3 hours 30 minutes on working days.
  • Public holidays: no processing. Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, Hijri New Year, National Day and other Cabinet Resolution dates are announced in advance.

If your flight is on a Sunday or Monday, apply on the Thursday. That single decision is worth more than any amount of following up.

Arabiers Express Visa Processing Data, Q1 2026

Most visa pages quote a processing time. Very few publish what actually happened. These figures come from the last 411 Dubai express visa applications Arabiers processed between 1 January and 31 March 2026, across multiple nationalities.

The two clocks

A Dubai express visa has two timelines, and most pages blur them into one. The first is the immigration clock: how long UAE immigration takes to approve the file once it is submitted. Nobody, including us, controls that. The second is the clock you actually experience: from your first message to the approved visa arriving in your inbox. We measured both.

What was measured Q1 2026 average Who controls it
Immigration approval, UAE working days 3 hours 30 minutes ICP and GDRFA
Immigration approval, weekend (Saturday and Sunday) 7 hours 30 minutes ICP and GDRFA
End to end, first message to visa delivered, working days 4 hours 20 minutes What you experience
Arabiers handling, the difference between the two About 50 minutes Us, and only us
Applications measured 411 1 January to 31 March 2026
Published service window 4 to 8 hours on working days Unchanged
Why we still publish 4 to 8 hours when the average is 4 hours 20 minutes. An average is not a promise. A public holiday, a nationality-based security check, or a full daily immigration quota can push a single application well past it, and the person that happens to does not care what the mean was. The 4-to-8-hour window on UAE working days is the commitment we are prepared to be held to. Final approval always rests with UAE immigration.

What the 50 minutes is, and why it is the number that matters

Of the 4 hours 20 minutes a typical working-day application takes, roughly 3 hours 30 minutes is UAE immigration reviewing the file. The remaining 50 minutes or so is us: reading your message, checking your documents, typing the application, submitting it on the priority tier, and sending the approved PDF back to you.

That 50 minutes is the entire value of using a licensed agency instead of waiting. It is also the part that breaks. Immigration takes what immigration takes. But a file that has to come back to you for a better passport scan does not lose minutes from the 50, it loses hours from the whole timeline, because it rejoins the queue at the back.

What made the fastest applications fast

The largest controllable factor was document quality. Applications submitted with a sharp, evenly lit, full-page colour passport scan and a correctly framed white-background photograph cleared typing and submission without a correction cycle. A blurred scan, a cropped corner, glare across the machine-readable zone, or a photo against a patterned background sends the file back, and a correction cycle costs hours rather than minutes.

The practical version: photograph your passport flat, in daylight, with all four corners visible and no shadow across the bottom two lines of the page. That single step is worth more to your processing time than any amount of chasing.

The most common reason an express visa application does not proceed

Delays on the Dubai express visa are uncommon, and in our Q1 2026 applications almost every one came down to the same thing: another application was already open for the same passport on the immigration system. UAE immigration will not run two applications for one passport at the same time.

In practice it is one of two situations, and both are things the traveller often does not know about:

  • An employment visa filed by a prospective employer. A company that has offered you a job may have started a work visa without telling you the date it went in. That application takes priority and blocks everything behind it.
  • A tourist visa still under process with another agent. If you applied elsewhere and did not hear back, that file may still be open. It has to be completed, cancelled or withdrawn before a new one can move.

If either might apply to you, say so before you pay. It takes one minute to check and it is the difference between a smooth application and a lost fee. This is also why an agency that asks you about pending applications before taking payment is doing its job, and one that does not is not.

Factors that affect your processing time

  • Time of submission: Applications submitted before 12:00 PM UAE time on a working day are prioritised in the same-day batch. Applications received after 3:00 PM may roll to the following morning.
  • Document completeness and quality: A missing passport copy, a blurred or cropped scan, an unclear photo, or a mismatched name causes the file to pause for correction, costing hours rather than minutes. This is the largest factor you control.
  • The UAE weekend and public holidays: The UAE weekend falls on Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday. Weekend applications clear more slowly. On public holidays, no processing occurs.
  • Peak travel seasons: November to February, and during major events such as GITEX, Arab Health, and Dubai Airshow, the express queue is significantly longer. Apply as early as possible during these periods.
  • UAE immigration daily quota: UAE immigration operates a finite daily express processing quota. On exceptionally high-demand days, this quota may fill, causing some applications to carry over to the next working day.
  • Nationality-based security checks: Some passport holders require additional immigration screening that is outside any agency's control. If this applies to your nationality, you will be advised at the time of application.
  • Processing hours: Express applications are processed from the licensed Dubai office (DET 1176592), open Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 9 PM UAE time. For applications received outside these hours, processing begins the following morning.

Documents Required for Dubai Express Visa

Scan the required documents and share them via email or WhatsApp:

  • A colour copy of your passport, valid for at least 6 months. Photograph it flat, in daylight, with all four corners visible.
  • A passport-size photograph against a plain white background.
  • Birth certificate if the applicant is a minor.
  • A copy of the UAE Residence Visa page of your friend or relative (if they are sponsoring your visit).
  • Valid travel medical insurance covering medical emergencies in the UAE.

Last-minute Dubai Visa Solution

Travelling to Dubai at short notice? Secure your fast-track visa through a trusted, licensed provider for a timely departure.

  • Last-minute business meetings: a client meeting to close a deal, or a board meeting for a pivotal decision express processing helps you arrive in time.
  • Family emergencies: a wedding, the sudden illness of a relative, or a family reunion. Standard processing rarely fits these timelines.
  • Avoiding processing delays: if another application stalls, a licensed agency can advise on your options. Always check a provider's UAE licence and verified reviews before paying.

When you do not need an Express Visa for Dubai

The UAE grants free visa-on-arrival to citizens of many countries; they do not need to apply in advance and only need a visa service once that on-arrival period expires.

Delays in Processing

Your application may be delayed if:

  • The passport is handwritten (the UAE does not process visas for handwritten passports).
  • You have a standard visa with another agent already under process that application takes priority, and the second is not refundable until the first is completed, cancelled or withdrawn.
  • An active employment-visa application has been filed for you by a prospective employer this can delay or block the express application.
  • A previous UAE residence visa was not properly cancelled before applying for a new one.

These conditions follow UAE immigration rules administered by ICP and GDRFA.

Dubai Visa Options

Two processing options, by urgency:

  • Express visa: emergency or flight today, within 4 to 8 hours.
  • Standard visa: planned trips, 2 to 3 working days, best value.

Travel and Itinerary Requirements

Dubai requires little documentation upfront you do not need to submit flight tickets, hotel details or insurance papers at the time of application. However, at Dubai airport immigration you must show your approved visa and a confirmed return ticket; some officers may also ask for proof of accommodation. For a smooth entry, carry your hotel booking or your host's local address and Emirates ID copy.

How Can You Pay the Fee?

Multiple currencies are accepted via a secure payment gateway: pay online (Stripe), deposit to a local bank account, use Western Union, or visit the office.

  • Pay online via Stripe (135 currencies)
  • Deposit to a local bank account
  • Transfer online
  • Visit the office Hamarain center, Al Muraqqabat, Deira, Dubai

Getting Your Application Right First Time

A Dubai express visa application is processed on priority, and the speed of approval depends almost entirely on the accuracy of the documents submitted. Most processing delays and returned applications have the same small set of causes.

  • An application already open for your passport: the most common cause. An employment visa filed by an employer, or a tourist visa still with another agent, blocks a new application from being processed. Check your status on icp.gov.ae before submitting.
  • Document inaccuracies: omissions or errors in the application form add a correction cycle that restarts the queue position. A Travel Document instead of a standard passport is a common source of this tell your consultant before submitting if you hold one.
  • Outstanding immigration status: any unresolved overstay fine or active entry ban must be cleared through ICP or GDRFA before a new application can be processed. Verify your status on icp.gov.ae first.

Because the UAE does not require financial proof, flight tickets or hotel bookings at the time of application, a provider citing "insufficient funds" or "unclear travel purpose" as a reason is not referencing an official UAE immigration ground. Ask for the official ICP or GDRFA notification if any query arises on your application status.

What Happens After Your Dubai Express Visa Is Approved?

Once your visa is approved, you receive an official UAE e-visa PDF by email. Here is exactly what to do next.

1. Download and verify your visa

Your visa PDF contains an entry permit number (EP number), your passport number, the issuing authority (GDRFA or ICP), visa type, and validity dates. You can verify its authenticity on the ICP official visa verification portal at icp.gov.ae enter your entry permit number and passport number.

2. What to show at Dubai airport immigration

Present the following at Dubai International Airport (DXB) or Al Maktoum International (DWC):

  • Your approved visa, printout or clearly on your phone screen
  • Your original passport (valid for at least 6 months)
  • A confirmed return or onward ticket
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or local host's address and Emirates ID copy) not always asked, but advisable to carry

3. Your visa validity starts on entry

A 30-day visa does not start from the date of issue it starts from the date you enter the UAE. You have 60 days from the date of issue to make your first entry.

4. Is the express visa valid only for Dubai?

No. A UAE tourist visa issued by ICP or GDRFA is valid across all seven Emirates: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, and Umm Al Quwain. You can travel freely between all of them on a single visa.

5. Do not book non-refundable flights before visa approval

Processing typically takes 4 to 8 hours on working days, but delays can occur for reasons outside our control. Book flexible tickets, or wait for your approved visa PDF before confirming non-refundable bookings.

How to Verify a Dubai Visa Agency Is Legitimate

Scam protection guide for UAE visa applicants. Dubai visa scams are common, particularly targeting Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan, and Bangladeshi travellers. Fake agencies collect fees and deliver counterfeit visa PDFs that fail verification at immigration.

How to verify a legitimate UAE-licensed agency

  1. Check the DET Trade Licence. Every licensed travel and tourism company in Dubai holds a Dubai Economy and Tourism (DET) trade licence. Arabiers' licence number is 1176592. You can verify any company on the DET business search portal at dubai.ae/business. If a provider cannot show a licence number, do not pay.
  2. Verify the licence is active and covers visa services. A valid licence will show the company name, licence number, and activity type for example "Inbound and Outbound Tourism". It is registered as Arabiers Travel and Tourism LLC.
  3. Check what a real UAE e-visa looks like. An authentic UAE tourist visa PDF issued by ICP or GDRFA will contain the applicant's full name as in the passport, passport number, nationality, visa type and duration, entry permit number (EP number), file number, issue date, and the issuing authority's name. It will not be a basic Word document, a generic form with no EP number, or a simple email without a PDF attachment.
  4. Verify your visa before you travel. Use the official ICP visa check portal: icp.gov.ae, Services, Visa Inquiry. Enter your permit number and passport number. If the visa does not appear on the government portal, it is not real.
  5. Red flags to avoid. No physical office address, no trade licence number visible on the website, payment requested via personal bank transfer or cash, and prices dramatically below the government fee alone (AED 335 is the baseline government fee any "express visa" priced below AED 350 total is fraudulent).

Arabiers verification details

Arabiers has physical walk-in offices in Dubai (Hamarain center, Al Muraqqabat, Deira, Dubai), Delhi, and Colombo, and all transactions are processed through a verified online payment gateway. The DET licence (1176592) is publicly verifiable.

Common Dubai visa scam patterns to avoid

  • Bait-and-switch "mandatory insurance". A common scam advertises a low price, takes payment, then demands an extra compulsory insurance or security fee before releasing the visa. Legitimate UAE visa pricing is all-inclusive and shown upfront; travel insurance is recommended, not a hidden release fee.
  • Prices below the government fee. The baseline UAE government fee alone is around AED 335. Any express visa priced below roughly AED 350 in total cannot be genuine.
  • Personal bank transfer or cash only. A licensed agency uses a verified payment gateway and displays a DET trade licence number. If payment is requested to a personal account, stop and verify first.

Applying for an Express Visa From Inside Dubai

Expiring or expired visa options

If you are already in Dubai and your current tourist visa is about to expire, or has recently expired, you have options. This is one of the most common situations handled.

  • Option A: Apply for a new express visa from inside the UAE. This is possible if your current visa has not yet expired. Submit your application before your visa expires, receive the new visa by email, and your stay is extended without leaving the UAE.
  • Option B: Airport-to-airport visa change. If your visa has already expired or is expiring today, you can fly to a nearby destination and return to Dubai on a fresh tourist visa. The full visa change service includes coordinating the new entry permit before your return flight. See the UAE Airport-to-Airport Visa Change page for details.
  • Option C: In-country visa extension. For certain visa types, a 30-day extension can be filed without leaving the UAE. Confirm whether your current visa is eligible. See the UAE Tourist Visa Extension page.
Do not overstay. UAE overstay fines are AED 50 per day. If you are in an overstay situation, resolving your status before applying for a new visa is required. See the overstay fine page for the full breakdown.
