Jebel Jais – UAE’s majestic mountains offering breathtaking views of nature coupled with picturesque landscapes is a popular adventure hub that serves a variety of action packed outdoor activities. Among the most popular outdoor experiences the Jebel Jais Sledder is one activity that equally stands out, similar to the rest.
This gravity powered high–speed ride – located at the peak of Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah – is an adrenalin pumping experience that rides all its visitors down the highest mountain range of UAE while allowing them to witness the panoramic views of the surroundings. Perfect ride for both adventure seekers and nature lovers.
Jebel Jais Sledder includes a smooth modern sledge –suitable to accommodate two riders – that is attached to a metal rail system in a way that provides strong stability and control from start to finish. This thrill packed track is approximately 1840 meters long ( 1.6 kilometres ), thus making it the longest sledge ride in UAE. The Sledder is made upon a low slung track, making you sit very close to the ground. Although the sledder allows you to reach up to 40 kilometers per hour, you may feel the speed as ten times amplified since you are sitting close to the ground.
This fully controllable sledder ride, usually, takes around 8 minutes to cover the metal rail route that includes hairpin curves and rising and falling waves. The Sledder provides access to the braking system, allowing its riders to increase or decrease the speed to match their comfort levels – Those who wish to enjoy a simple ride down the slopes of the Jebel Jais, while experiencing the scenic views around can slow down by gently applying the brakes and for those who wish to experience a heart pumping adventure and simply let go the brakes and let gravity do its wonders. This way the time on the sledder depends on the speed you are choosing for the ride.
Arabiers’ package that offers you the Jebel Jais Sledder experience includes private transfers from and to your hotel in Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah. Also the location comprises other fun filled adventures that can keep you occupied for the rest of the day.
