One of the most enchanted Liwa desert adventure available to tourists in the United Arab Emirates is the Liwa Desert Trekking. From Abu Dhabi, you will travel to the western portion of Abu Dhabi, where you will arrive at the enchanted Rub' al Khali (Empty Quarter) in Liwa. For the first time, you will experience serene silence, see the world's largest uninterrupted sand mass and participate in activities like stargazing and nature desert drive.
The Rub' al-Khali is one of the driest regions in the world, virtually uninhabited and largely unexplored. The Empty Quarter Desert is about 250,000 square miles (650,000 square kilometers). It is mostly in southeastern Saudi Arabia, but smaller parts are also in Yemen, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates. In 1931, British citizen Bertram Thomas was the first person from the West to cross the Rub al Khali successfully. His trip was 59 days long and covered 1,300 kilometers.

During this tour, Arabiers Liwa guides will lead you on a hike of 5 to 8 kilometers (the exact distance will depend on you), and you will return to the camping spot before the sun goes down. After the sun goes down, there will be time to take pictures, enjoy the sunset, have a live barbecue feast, and look at the stars. After spending the night in the natural camping area, you will get up early to see the sunrise and drink some coffee. After a light breakfast, you'll head back to Abu Dhabi to be dropped off.
You will be eligible for a full refund if you cancel the experience at least 6 days before the scheduled start date.
