Itinerary Explained

Here’s how Arabiers has organised the 6 days:

Arrive Tashkent

Explore Tashkent: the Hast Imam complex (Barak Khan madrasah, Tillya Sheikh Mosque, Kaffal Shashi mausoleum), the vast Chorsu Bazaar and Tashkent City park. Includes the Museum of Applied Art.

Night train → Bukhara

Evening transfer to the station for the fast train to Bukhara. Overnight in Bukhara.

Bukhara old city

Visit the 10th-century Ismail Samani mausoleum, Chashma Ayub, Bolo Hauz, the Ark citadel and the Poi Kalon complex — the Kalon Mosque, Mir-i-Arab madrasah and the great Kalon minaret. Continue to the Ulugbek and Abdulaziz Khan madrasahs, the covered trading domes with their craft workshops, and Lyabi-Hauz square. Overnight in Bukhara.

Bukhara environs → Samarkand

Visit the Sitorai-Mohi-Hosa summer palace and the Bahauddin Naqshband memorial complex, then take the train to Samarkand. Overnight in Samarkand.

Samarkand — Registan & Gur-e-Amir

Visit the legendary Registan Square — the Ulugbek, Tilla-Kari and Sher-Dor madrasahs — and the Gur-e-Amir, Tamerlane’s tomb, plus the Konigil Meros silk-paper workshop, Imam Al-Bukhari and Saint Daniel mausoleums.

Samarkand → Tashkent

Explore Shah-i-Zinda’s avenue of tiled tombs, Ulugbek’s observatory, the Bibi-Khanym Mosque and lively Siab Bazaar. Afternoon transfer to Tashkent. Overnight in Tashkent.

Breakfast and transfer to the airport.
