Prices: Dune buggy tours in Abu Dhabi run from 475 AED per person for the morning tour, 560 AED for the evening, 875 AED for the overnight, and 1,025 AED per adult for the sunset lounge dinner. The per person price is at its lowest when four guests share the private 4x4 and a 4-seater 1000cc buggy, and a little higher for a couple in a 2-seater 800cc, which is why each tour shows a "from" price.
Tickets: There is no gate or ticket booth out in the desert. You book the whole tour in advance, by WhatsApp or online, and the buggy ride is included in the tour price, so a dune buggy Abu Dhabi ticket simply means your confirmed booking. Tell us your date and group size and we hold your slot.
Buggy rental: We do not hand over a bare buggy for you to drive off alone. Where the buggy tours run
We run the dune buggy experience in the Al Khatim desert, Abu Dhabi, about 45 to 60 minutes from the city on the Al Ain route. Your tour starts when we collect you from your hotel in a private 4x4 Land Cruiser and drive out to the dunes. If you have a rental car you can drive to the meeting point instead, and we adjust the itinerary so you pay only for the buggy and the desert activities you choose. A buggy is a real machine on real dunes, so a few things matter more than the marketing usually admits.
Insurance, the honest version
The buggy itself is not insured. That is standard across UAE buggy operators, so you sign a liability waiver and take responsibility on the ride. Your 4x4 transfer and the desert camp are covered. If you want personal cover, add adventure insurance through your own travel provider before you come.
Helmet and safety gear are required
A helmet and the provided safety gear are mandatory for the buggy ride, for the whole ride, not just the photos.
A briefing and a guide, every time
You get a full safety briefing and a guide who rides alongside, so no experience or licence is needed. Ask us about age and height limits for children.
Weather matters
We avoid buggy rides after heavy rain, when the sand turns soft and slippery, and reschedule rather than risk it.
Self-drive buggies, not drifting
Dune buggying in the Abu Dhabi desert is not the same as the drifting you see in some adverts. Drifting is not allowed for guests in the UAE; only trained expert drivers attempt it.
