The oldest standing structure in Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Hosn began as a watchtower built over a freshwater well in the 18th century. Sultan walks guests through the fort's four centuries of use, the pearl-diving economy that funded its expansion, and its role as the seat of the Al Nahyan ruling family.

The Al Ain Oasis covers 1,200 hectares and is irrigated by a network of falaj channels whose design dates back more than 3,000 years. UNESCO designated both the oasis and the falaj system as World Heritage Sites. Sultan explains the original engineering, the water-rights agreements that governed distribution among Bedouin tribes, and the conservation work that keeps the system functioning today.
