We collect you from your hotel in a private 4x4 in the mid-afternoon and drive out to the Al Khatim desert. The buggy comes first, timed for the softening light: a safety briefing, then thirty minutes at the wheel, followed by a private dune bashing run, the camel farm, sandboarding and the sunset. As the sky turns, we serve a private BBQ dinner at your own Sunset Dune Majlis, with Arabic coffee and dates, just your group on the dunes.
Then, instead of driving you home, we settle you into a pop-up tent for the night. You stargaze, sleep in the desert, and wake for the sunrise and breakfast before the transfer back. The tent, the dinner, and the honest bit
You sleep in a private pop-up tent, set up beside your majlis with bedding provided. We will be straight with you about what that is: a simple, comfortable tent that keeps the night air off you, not a furnished suite. That is deliberate. It keeps this tour about the desert and the stars rather than the furniture, and it keeps the price where it is. If you would rather have a more finished setup for the night, our premium overnight is built for that.
Dinner is a private BBQ at your Sunset Dune Majlis, not the shared camp, so the evening is yours. And the same honest note we put on every buggy tour holds here: the buggy itself is not insured, standard across UAE operators, so you sign a waiver and drive within the guide's instructions. The private 4x4 and the camp are covered.

Yes. After a safety briefing you drive the buggy yourself for about 30 minutes at dusk, on a marked dune route with a guide alongside. There is a 2-seater 800cc buggy for couples and a 4-seater 1000cc buggy for groups of up to four.
We say it straight: the buggy itself is not insured, which is standard across UAE buggy operators, so you sign a liability waiver and follow the guide's rules. The private 4x4 and the desert camp are covered. You can add personal adventure cover through your own travel provider if you want it.
Our standard overnight desert camping, without a buggy, starts from 780 AED and uses the shared camp or a majlis setup. This tour is fully private, adds a 30 minute self-drive buggy at dusk, and gives you a private Sunset Dune Majlis dinner and your own pop-up tent for the night.
