Trek through the base of Jebel Harim along a mountain riverbed to a shaded waterfall. 4 to 5 hours return.
The Wadi Ain trek follows a dry mountain riverbed from the trailhead at the base of Jebel Harim to a permanent waterfall inside the mountain. The wadi walls are bare limestone. The floor is loose rock and boulders. The final section narrows and the walls rise on both sides before the waterfall comes into view: shaded, cool, fed by groundwater from the mountain. The return is the same route. Total 4 to 5 kilometres.

The Wadi Ain waterfall is fed by the Jebel Harim aquifer and runs year-round. The pool at the base is 0.5 to 1 metre deep depending on the season. The temperature at the waterfall is noticeably cooler than the open wadi because the rock faces on both sides block the direct sun. Most guests spend 20 to 30 minutes at the waterfall before the return walk.
Year-round flow, fed by the Jebel Harim aquifer. 0.5 to 1 metre pool depth at the base.
Rocky and uneven throughout. Trekking shoes with grip required.
The final section of the wadi narrows before the waterfall. The walls rise on both sides.
Fresh fruit and water provided throughout. Bring at least 1.5 litres of your own water as well.
The Wadi Ain trek (4 to 5 hours, a mountain waterfall) is suitable for active adults who have not necessarily done mountain trekking before, but who are comfortable walking on uneven rocky ground for an extended period. It is not a flat path. The Jebel Sham trek (6 to 7 hours, summit ridges above 1,800 metres) is harder, more exposed, and requires prior mountain trekking experience.
The Wadi Ain trek is also available as part of the full day mountain safari, which combines the 4WD mountain route with the Wadi Ain section in a single 6-hour day. If you want both the Jebel Harim summit views and the waterfall, the full day safari covers both.
