Beach camping vs the dhow overnight
The beach camping overnight and the overnight dhow cruise are both half board overnights in Musandam, but they are different experiences. On the dhow, you sleep on the water, surrounded by the fjord. On the beach, you sleep on land, with the fjord on one side and the mountain faces on the others. The beach camp suits groups who want space, fire, and a setting that feels more like a wilderness camp than a boat stay. Both depart from Khasab, which means both require the Dubai transfer and the Oman border crossing.
To combine the beach camping with a mountain safari on the following day, ask us when you enquire. The 4WD for the half day mountain safari can be arranged to meet you at Khasab harbour after the speedboat return.

Two days at the camp
Pickup from Dubai hotel. Transfer to Khasab via Tibat border.
Arrive Khasab harbour.
Speedboat transfer to the remote beach camp, 20 to 30 minutes.
Free time on the beach. Swim, kayak, explore the fjord shoreline.
Rest at the camp. Soft drinks and fruit served.
BBQ dinner on the beach. Arabic coffee after.
Sleep in tent. Mattress, sleeping bag, blanket provided. Camp shower available.
Breakfast at the beach. Morning swim.
Speedboat return to Khasab harbour.
Optional: add a city tour or mountain safari before the 16:00 transfer.
Transfer departs Khasab for Dubai. Arrives Dubai around 19:30.

AED 500 per person for 2 guests, AED 450 for 3 to 10, and AED 400 for 11 or more. Half board (BBQ dinner and breakfast) and the full camp equipment are included. The speedboat transfer to and from the beach is included. The Dubai return transfer and the Oman border crossing fee of AED 85 per passport are extra.
Canvas tents, mattresses, sleeping bags, blankets and pillows for every guest. A traditional majlis seating area with cushions for the evening. A generator with lighting. A camp shower and portable toilets. You do not need to bring camping equipment.
By speedboat from Khasab harbour. The beach has no road access. The speedboat journey takes 20 to 30 minutes. The boat ride is part of the experience and gives you a view of the fjord walls from the water at speed.
Yes. The beach is sheltered and calm. Children aged 5 to 11 pay 60 per cent of the excursion cost. Under 5s travel free on excursions, though the Oman border fee still applies. Life jackets are provided for all speedboat transfers. Let us know the ages of any children when you enquire.
