Day one: the fjords. Day two: the mountain summit at 1,784 metres.
This is the two-day Musandam tour that covers both landscapes without repetition. Day one runs exactly as the overnight dhow cruise: Khor Sham, dolphins, Telegraph Island, lunch, deeper into the fjord, BBQ dinner on deck, sleep on the water. Day two starts with breakfast on the dhow and a morning swim, then a 4WD drives you from Khasab harbour to Jebel Harim at 1,784 metres. You are back in Dubai by 20:00 on day two.

From the dhow on day one, Khor Sham fills your entire field of view: mountain walls on both sides, turquoise water below, the 600-metre faces going dark as the sun drops. From the Khor Najid viewpoint on Jebel Harim on day two, you look down at the same fjords from above. The geometry reverses. Most guests say the second viewpoint changes how they remember the first.
Spinner dolphins at the fjord entrance, Telegraph Island snorkelling, six hours on the water.
BBQ dinner, the Musandam night sky, sleep on deck. Milky Way visible October to March.
The highest point in Musandam. Views across the Gulf of Oman and the Strait of Hormuz.
The Musandam fjords seen from the mountain ridge. The same water as day one, now 1,400 metres below you.
The overnight dhow plus mountain safari is the tour we recommend to guests who ask what the best way to see Musandam is. The overnight dhow cruise covers the sea. The Jebel Harim mountain safari covers the mountain. Both are included in this package. The price difference between the overnight dhow alone (from AED 500) and this tour (from AED 750) is the mountain safari half day on day two. Guests travelling from Abu Dhabi can book the overnight dhow and mountain safari from Abu Dhabi with a direct transfer, minimum 4 guests.

Yes. The overnight dhow and mountain safari from Abu Dhabi uses a direct transfer from your Abu Dhabi hotel. Minimum 4 guests. From AED 1,150 per person, which includes the Abu Dhabi return transfer.
Yes. The dhow is a wide, stable, flat-decked vessel. It moves slowly. The sea inside Khor Sham fjord is calm because the fjord walls shelter it from open-sea swell. No sailing experience or physical fitness is required for the dhow day.
