A longer ride, before the heat
Your own 4x4 and guide collect you in the cool of the morning and drive you to the Al Khatim dunes, about 45 to 60 minutes from the city. You choose how long you ride: 10 minutes, half an hour or a full hour on a 250cc quad you drive yourself. Then dune bashing, sandboarding and a camel farm stop, and back to your hotel in time for lunch.

Your own 4x4 and guide in the cool of the morning, and a quad ride as long as you like: 10 minutes, half an hour or a full hour on a 250cc quad you drive yourself. Add dune bashing, sandboarding and a camel farm stop, and you are back at your hotel by lunch.
Our quads are 250cc automatic ATVs, one rider each, so there are no gears to learn. After a safety briefing you drive the quad yourself on a marked route, with a guide riding alongside the whole time.
Best for families, groups of four to six, and anyone who wants a longer ride without the heat. The morning is cool and quiet, which suits young children and summer visitors, and it is the tour we run all year: in summer we ride early in the morning only.
Adults ride the quads; the children share the 4x4, the sandboarding and the camel farm.

How much is the private morning quad bike tour?
From AED 231 per person, for a 10 minute ride in a group of six. The price is for the whole group because the 4x4 is yours alone: two guests on a 10 minute ride pay AED 809 in total, which is AED 405 each. The tables on this page show every group size and ride length.
How long is the quad ride?
You choose: 10 minutes for a taste, 30 minutes to settle in and cover more ground, or one hour to go further into the dunes. Everyone in the group rides for the same length.
How much is a one hour quad ride in the morning?
For one hour on the quad, a group of six pays AED 3,262 in total, which is AED 544 per person. For two guests it is AED 1,434 in total, AED 717 each.
What is included?
Your quad ride, a private 4x4 and guide for your group, hotel pickup and drop off in Abu Dhabi, dune bashing, sandboarding, a camel farm stop, a helmet, the safety briefing and refreshments.
What time does the morning tour start, and when am I back?
We collect you in the morning and you are back at your hotel by lunch. We confirm the exact pickup time with your booking; in summer we start early to keep the ride cool.
Is it good for families with children?
Yes. The morning tour is the easier choice with young children. Adults ride the quads, and the whole family shares the 4x4, the sandboarding and the camel farm.
Who can ride the quad?
Adults, one rider per quad. It is not suitable for anyone with a back, neck or heart condition, or during pregnancy. If in doubt, tell us when you book and we will advise honestly.
Do I need a licence or any experience?
No. The quads are automatic, the guide gives a full briefing and rides alongside you the whole time, and most of our riders are first-timers.
Is a helmet provided?
Yes, for every rider, and it is worn for the whole ride. Wear closed shoes and long trousers.
Where do you pick up from?
From your hotel in Abu Dhabi. The riding is in the Al Khatim desert, about 45 to 60 minutes away on the Al Ain road. If you have your own car you can meet us at the camp and we adjust the price.
How do I book, and do I pay in advance?
Send us your date, hotel, group size and ride length on WhatsApp. We hold the slot and confirm the pickup, and payment is settled on confirmation or on the day, with no upfront online payment needed to reserve.
Can I cancel or change my booking?
Yes. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the start time, and you can change the date on WhatsApp. We take bookings up to 4 hours before the start, and you pay on confirmation, with nothing to pay online.
