Can you drive quad bikes in the Abu Dhabi desert?
Yes. You drive yourself to a desert camp near the road and take a 30-minute self-drive quad bike ride across the dunes, with a briefing and gear provided. You can do just the quad (from 110 AED), or add the camp evening with a BBQ dinner, live shows and the sunset (from 200 AED). Either way it is self-drive, with no 4x4 and no dune bashing.
It is the simplest way to ride a quad in the Abu Dhabi desert if you already have a car. You are not tied to a big group or a fixed 4x4 convoy, and you get the camp atmosphere on top of the ride.

Do just the quad from 110 AED, or add the camp evening with a BBQ, shows and the sunset for 200 AED per adult. Either way you drive yourself, so there is no 4x4 transfer.
Booking and directions
Booking is simple. Tell us your date, how many are riding and how many are joining just for the camp, and we confirm your slot. Because you drive yourself, we send the exact pin location and directions so you can arrive in good time. There is parking at the camp. Aim to arrive in the late afternoon so you get your quad ride in and then catch the sunset before dinner and the shows.
Quads have a minimum driving age, so tell us the ages in your group and we will confirm who rides. It is popular in the cooler months from October to April, so book your date ahead on weekends.

The Sunset Quad Bike Safari includes a full 4x4 safari with a hotel pickup, dune bashing and the camp, with the same 30-minute quad, from 390 AED. This visit is self-drive: you skip the 4x4 and the transfer and just do the quad and the camp, from 200 AED.
