What the UAE Visa Covers

Whether you enter on a free 90-day stamp, a paid on-arrival visa or a prepaid tourist visa, the permission covers all seven UAE emirates on a single document: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain. There is no separate Abu Dhabi visa.

All three routes cover tourism, family visits and short business meetings. Employment in the UAE requires a separate work permit and residence visa.

Extending Your Stay

Extension options depend on the entry route you used.

The stamp cannot be extended in-country. Exit the UAE before the 90 days are used. For a longer stay, apply for a UAE tourist visit visa from outside the UAE and re-enter.

2 Paid on-arrival visa holders

Extension may be available through GDRFA Dubai before expiry. Check the specific conditions that apply to your visa before it expires.

3 Prepaid tourist visa holders

Apply to renew your UAE tourist visa stay from inside the UAE before expiry. Extensions are available in 30-day increments.
