Indonesian nationals are not eligible for a free UAE visa on arrival. A prepaid tourist visa must be approved before your travel date. Airlines will not allow boarding without a valid UAE visa.

No grace period: as of October 2024, ICP removed the grace period on UAE tourist visas. Overstay fines begin from the first day after expiry. Apply for a UAE tourist visa extension before your visa expires if you need more time.
If you are an Indonesian national residing in one of the countries below and hold a valid residency permit from that country, you qualify for a paid UAE on-arrival visa at the airport. No advance application needed.

The on-arrival fee is paid at the UAE airport on arrival. Present your Indonesian passport and your qualifying residency permit or visa at UAE immigration.

The UAE tourist visa does not permit employment. A separate work permit and residence visa are required to work in the UAE.

If you qualify for on-arrival, the fee is IDR 1,117,872 for 14 days or IDR 2,508,292 for 60 days, paid at the UAE airport.

Yes. Indonesian nationals living in Saudi Arabia can apply through the UAE GCC residents route using a valid GCC residence permit, or use the tourist visa route through an airline or tour operator. Saudi Arabia is not part of the ICP on-arrival table used for the USA, UK, EU, Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Republic of Korea and Singapore. Two documents: a colour copy of the bio page of your Indonesian passport, valid for at least 6 months from your travel date, and a colour photograph with a plain white background. Additional documents may occasionally be requested.
No. The UAE tourist visa covers tourism, family visits and short business trips only. Working in the UAE requires a separate work permit and residence visa.
Yes. A UAE tourist visa covers all seven emirates: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain. There is no separate Abu Dhabi visa.
