What the On-Arrival Visa Covers

2026 Update:

Bosnia and Herzegovina nationals: no prepaid visa required. Your passport is stamped on arrival at any UAE airport. No application, no agency fee, no prepaid visa. The stamp is valid for up to 90 days total within a 6-month window from first entry.

Detail What it means
Visa type 90-day multiple-entry tourist visa on arrival
Stay permitted Up to 90 days total within a 6-month window
Entries Multiple entries within the 6-month window
Cost Free: issued by UAE immigration at arrival
Application needed None. Present your Bosnia and Herzegovina passport.
Passport validity Minimum 6 months remaining from date of travel
No grace period:

As of October 2024, ICP removed the grace period on UAE tourist visas. Overstay fines begin on the first day after expiry. Exit or apply for an extension before your stamp expires.

What to Do After 90 Days

If you want to stay beyond your on-arrival allowance, you have three options:

1. Apply for a UAE tourist visa extension

If you are still inside the UAE and your stamp is valid, apply for a UAE tourist visa extension before it expires. Processed through ICP or GDRFA from inside the country.

2. Exit and re-enter for a fresh stamp

If you have remaining on-arrival days in your 6-month window, exit the UAE and return. Most Dubai visitors use a short trip to Oman. See our guide on the Oman border crossing for UAE visitors.

3. Apply for a sponsored prepaid visa

Once your on-arrival days are fully used, apply for a sponsored UAE tourist visit visa through Arabiers. Available in 30 or 60 days. Need it quickly? An express visa in 4 to 8 hours is also available.
