A calm morning in the desert, with a buggy in it
We collect you from your hotel in a private 4x4 between 8:00 and 8:30 in the morning and drive out to the Al Khatim desert, about 45 to 60 minutes from the city. The buggy comes first, while the air is still cool: a safety briefing, then thirty minutes at the wheel on a route your guide picks for the morning light. After that we run the dunes in the 4x4, stop for sandboarding and photos, visit the camel farm, and settle in at the desert camp for Arabic coffee, dates and cold drinks before the drive back.
Think of this as our standard morning desert route with a buggy dropped into it. The buggy ride, in detail
The choice is deliberately simple. One ride length, thirty minutes, and two machines: a 2-seater 800cc buggy for couples, and a 4-seater 1000cc for groups of up to four. A couple pays a little more per person because they have a whole buggy to themselves. Your guide runs a quick check of the buggy, talks you through the controls, and rides alongside the whole time, so a first timer is comfortable and a confident driver still gets a proper run.
The honest note we put on every buggy tour applies here too: the buggy itself is not insured, which is standard across UAE operators, so you sign a waiver and drive within the guide's instructions. Your private 4x4 and the desert camp are covered. Personal adventure cover is yours to add through your own travel provider if you want it.
