The only practical way to travel from Dubai to Salalah is by direct flight. Flight time is approximately 2 hours. Airlines operating the Dubai (DXB) to Salalah (SLL) route include flydubai, Air Arabia, and Oman Air. Flights are available daily. Arabiers does not include flights in package prices but can assist with flight recommendations on request. Bus services from Dubai to Salalah exist but take 12–14 hours and are not suitable for the private holiday experience we provide.

The most popular time for UAE residents is July to September — the Khareef monsoon season — when Salalah's mountains and coast turn green and misty, temperatures drop to a cool 20–26°C, and the city fills with visitors from across the Gulf. This is peak season so book 2–3 months ahead. For a quieter and more affordable visit, October–November (post-Khareef, green fading, great value) and December–March (warm, dry, perfect for touring) are both excellent alternatives. April–June is the shoulder season.

UAE nationals (Emirati passport holders) do not require a visa to enter Oman — entry is free. GCC nationals (Saudi, Kuwaiti, Bahraini, Qatari) are also visa-free.
