Do you need a visa from Jordan to Dubai?

Jordanian passport holders need a pre-approved UAE visa — Jordan nationals do not receive an on-arrival visa. You apply before you travel and enter Dubai with the approved e-visa. Arabiers processes Dubai tourist visas (30, 60 or 90-day single entry, or 30/60-day multiple entry), with indicative prices from JOD 95 (AED 489) and normal processing in 24–48 hours.

If you are holding a Jordan passport, obtaining your visit visa is the first thing to arrange when planning your trip. Whether you are an organised traveller or a last-minute applicant, Arabiers specialises in Dubai tourist visas for Jordanian passport holders and can secure yours on time.

Types of Dubai visa from Jordan

Jordan passport holders can apply for one of five Dubai tourist visa types, depending on how long they intend to stay and how often they will enter the UAE:

Visa Type Stay Duration Best For
30-Day Single Entry Up to 30 days (One Entry) Short vacations, tourism, or family visits. Can be extended twice before expiry.
60-Day Single Entry Up to 60 days (One Entry) Long-term visits, job searching, or spending more time with family and friends.
90-Day Single Entry (Leisure) Up to 90 days (One Entry) Extended holidays, leisure travel, or longer stays in the UAE.
30-Day Multiple Entry Up to 30 days (Multiple Entries) Frequent travel between the UAE and neighboring countries during the visa validity period.
60-Day Multiple Entry Up to 60 days (Multiple Entries) Business travelers, regional tours, and visitors requiring multiple UAE entries over two months.

The approved e-visa is usually issued with a 60-day validity window from approval, within which you must make your first entry. Your stay is counted consecutively from that first entry. As UAE tourist visas carry no grace period, plan your dates carefully. Single and multiple entry visas can each be extended twice (30 days per extension), or you can change to a resident or in-country tourist visa without leaving Dubai.

Documents required

In line with UAE immigration requirements, Jordanian passport holders need only provide:

Documents Required

A clear colour scan or photo of the passport details page, valid for at least six months from the travel date.

Photograph of yourself with white background

One colour photograph against a white background.

If any kids traveling with their birth certificates

A birth certificate copy for any child applicant under 18.

Grace period

No. Jordanian passport holders do not receive any free days beyond the 30, 60 or 90 days permitted by the visa obtained. Since mid-2023, UAE single and multiple entry tourist visas no longer carry any grace period. Count your days carefully after arrival and decide in advance whether to extend or exit, to avoid overstays, penalties and the risk of an absconding record.

Dubai visa extensions for Jordanians

Although UAE tourist visas carry no grace period, a Jordanian passport holder's Dubai tourist visa can still be extended. A visit visa can be extended as single entry for 30 days, twice — so an Arabiers-sponsored 30 or 60-day single or multiple entry visa can be extended for the same visa, each extension granting a further 30 days.

If your visa expires and you remain in Dubai, you will be fined AED 50 (about JOD 9.66) per day, and an exit permit fee of roughly AED 250–350 (JOD 48–68) may apply at clearance — see the 2026 overstay fines below.

Extension Type Validity Indicative Price
Tourist Visa Extension 30 Days JOD 230 (AED 1,190)

Renewal options

Jordanian passport holders currently in Dubai on a tourist visa, or whose resident visa has been cancelled, can renew their visa through Arabiers.

Option Validity Indicative Price
In-Country Renewal (Status Change, No Exit Required) 90 Days JOD 712 (AED 3,690)
Airport-to-Airport Renewal 30 Days JOD 288 (AED 1,490)
Airport-to-Airport Renewal 60 Days JOD 327 (AED 1,690)

Overstay fines (2026)

Overstaying a Dubai visa is a violation of UAE law and carries penalties that must be cleared before departure — for every nationality, including Jordanian passport holders. As of 11 February 2026, the UAE applies a single, unified overstay fine of AED 50 per day (about JOD 9.66) to all visa types, replacing the previous emirate-by-emirate system.

  • The fine begins the day after your visa expires — there is no grace period.
  • An exit permit (out-pass) fee of roughly AED 250–350 (JOD 48–68) may apply at clearance.
  • Fines are recorded automatically in the ICP and GDRFA systems and can be settled via the ICP app, GDRFA Dubai or UAE Pass before departure.
Avoid the fine entirely. Extending before expiry is almost always cheaper than overstaying — contact our team early to arrange your extension or status change.
