Khurshed Kamalov

Khurshed Kamalov is a licensed tourist guide accredited by the Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi, licence number 2290. He guides in Russian and English and leads Abu Dhabi tours for Arabiers Holidays, from the first welcome at the airport to the last photo stop of the day.

Born in Uzbekistan and based in the UAE, Khurshed is the guide our guests from Russia and Central Asia ask for by name. He tells the story of Abu Dhabi in the language his guests think in, so nothing gets lost between the guidebook and the moment. Questions get real answers, on the spot, without an interpreter in between.

His regular route covers the places every first visit to Abu Dhabi is built around. At Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque he walks guests through the etiquette, the dress guidelines and the meaning behind the architecture, from the floral marble in the courtyard to the hand knotted carpet inside. On the Corniche he reads the skyline for his group, from Etihad Towers to the domes of Emirates Palace, and explains how a fishing settlement became the city behind him. At Ferrari World on Yas Island he briefs each group before the rides and helps every guest choose what suits them.

Guests also see the side of guiding that never appears in brochures. Khurshed meets arrivals at Zayed International Airport, manages luggage and transfers, counts heads at every stop and keeps groups of sixteen moving on schedule through a full day. It is quiet, careful work, and it is the reason his tours feel easy.
