A real Emirati spread
Not a continental tray: chebab, balaleet, bajella, luqaimat and karak, the food locals grew up on.
A real Emirati morning feast, served in the dunes
Trade the hotel buffet for the desert. After a gentle morning drive you sit down to an authentic Emirati breakfast, Bedouin style, on the sand: chebab and date syrup, saffron balaleet, bajella, warm luqaimat and a glass of karak. The morning safari is the setting; the breakfast is the reason to come.

Not a continental tray: chebab, balaleet, bajella, luqaimat and karak, the food locals grew up on.
Breakfast laid out Bedouin style on the sand, in the cool of the morning.
A relaxed morning drive, easy on families, before the heat of the day.
Your own vehicle and guide, with pickup from across Abu Dhabi.
This is a morning in the Abu Dhabi desert built around one thing: a proper Emirati breakfast. You are collected early, while the sand is still cool, for a gentle dune drive, a stop at a camel farm and some sandboarding. Then the mat is laid out on the dunes and the breakfast arrives, the real thing: soft chebab pancakes with date syrup, saffron-scented balaleet, a bowl of bajella, warm luqaimat, and karak poured strong and sweet. It is unhurried and it is authentic, the kind of morning meal that tells you more about the Emirates than any buffet could.

It belongs in our wider Abu Dhabi desert safari collection, but it is really a food and culture morning rather than a standard safari. If you want to taste genuine Emirati home cooking in the setting it was made for, this is the one.

We'd rather you book the right morning than the wrong one. Here's the honest picture.
It is a morning desert trip built around an authentic Emirati breakfast served in the dunes. After a gentle morning drive, a camel farm visit and sandboarding, you sit down to a Bedouin-style spread of chebab, balaleet, bajella, luqaimat and karak tea. From 435 AED per adult.
The spread features chebab (saffron and cardamom pancakes with date syrup), balaleet (sweet saffron vermicelli topped with a light omelette), bajella (fava beans with local seasoning), luqaimat (fried dough balls in date syrup) and karak, the UAE's spiced milk tea. The menu is seasonal and served outdoors.
The standard Morning Desert Safari includes refreshments only, and the Sunrise Desert Safari is an early dawn drive. This trip is a food and culture experience: the reason to book it is the full authentic Emirati breakfast served in the desert, added to the morning drive for 75 AED.
