The On Arrival RAK visa is stamped in the passports of tourists arriving in RAK from select countries only. The only documents these tourists need to have in their possession for immigration is their passport and their return air ticket.
If you qualify for an on arrival visa, based on the purpose of your trip and your required length of stay 4 types of visa are granted upon entry.
Nationals from countries such as Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Turkey must apply for a prepaid RAK visa prior to traveling to Ras Al Khaimah.

Once granted, a residence visa allows one to live and work as well as exit and re-enter RAK continuously.
The UAE government grants three residence visas to qualifying and eligible applicants.
Launched May 2024, the Blue visa recognizes persons who have made exceptional progress and contributions toward the environment, encompassing marine, land and air sustainability in their country, or globally.
The Blue residence visa grants up to 10 years of residency. Visa holders may sponsor immediate family members for residency.
This visa is renewable upon expiry by the UAE Government.

This resident visa recognizes self-employed contractors, investors, or freelancers able to show a per annum income of at least US $100,000 or 360,000 AED over the last two years, and can show the ability to continue to do the same in the UAE. The visa also calls to foreign nationals who are highly qualified and skilled professionals such as legislators, scientists, physicians, and Directors and CEOs of world recognized brands.
An attractive benefit of this visa is that an applicant does not require to be sponsored for the visa by a UAE national or company.
Visas are granted for 5 years. Visa holders may sponsor immediate family members for residency.
The Golden visa is perhaps considered the more attractive resident visa option in the UAE as it provides a 10-year residency. Investors, scientists, entrepreneurs, gifted and exceptional students/graduates, and humanitarian leaders specifically are eligible to apply for this visa.

On arrival visa holders staying in Ras Al Khaimah on a 14, 30, or 60-day visa may obtain an extension by one of the following processes :
Nationals granted a 30-day on arrival visa upon entry are eligible for an extension of 20 days. They do receive a 10-day grace period for extension purposes automatically. The total days with the 20-day extension is 60 days (30+10+20).
The 90-day on arrival visa holders have 180-day visa valid period. Once you consume 90 days straight away, You cannot get another on arrival visa until completing the visa validity period (which means you have to wait another 90 days to complete 180 days) In such a scenario, If you wish to extend you may process an extension via A2A or an Oman border run.
This is applicable for Indian passport-holders only who hold one of the following :

Although this is an on-arrival visa the UAE government urges Indian passport holders to apply for this on arrival visa before they travel. They must apply directly with the UAE General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA).
Indian passport holders holding UK/US residency and traveling to RAK for a short visit :- Can apply for the 14-day on arrival visa through the GDRFA UAE government website
