Upon reaching one of UAE’s highly preserved heritage areas, your first stop in Hatta will be the Hatta Dam. Enjoy a relaxing walk to the lake and gear up for a thrilling and active Kayaking experience. Kayak along the calm waters of the Hatta Dam and take in the beautiful contrast of grey mountains being reflected on the crystal blue waters. Next you can observe reconstructed huts and dioramas displaying the ancient way of life in the Hatta Heritage Village. The heritage Village also has the Hatta fort within its territory. Put your nose into the business of the bees, honey making. A guided tour of the Hatta Honey Factory will give you an insight into the bee’s world and how they produce honey with not only video documentaries but one-on-one interaction. Don a protective suit and head into the apiary to see the Queen bees, worker bees and even a few larvae hatching out. Learn about the ancient and modern variety of hives varying from natural beehives to hives made of date palm trunks. After you are amazed by the unity of the bees take a trip to Hatta’s ancient tombs. You will also visit a farm, Duck lake and the Hatta Camel Farm. Lunch can be arranged for an extra fee at the Liwa Fort Hotel which boasts magnificent views of the Hajar Mountains.
