Enjoy breakfast and then go inlands to Anuradhapura. This Sri Lanka’s first loyal capital. Also among most sacred cities in Asia.

On the way stop at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and watch elephants roaming freely and taking bath in Maha Oya. Another stop at Millenium Elephant Foundation to learn about conservation and walk along gentle elephants.

At Anuradhapura enjoy city tour with visits to colossal dagobas, historical monasteries and over 2,000 years old royal ruins. Go to Sri Maha Bodhi Tree where Lord Buddha achieved enlightenment for a deep spiritual experience.

In evening check in to hotel and enjoy night stay at Anuradhapura.

Enjoy breakfast and get on journey to Sigiriya, which has famous Heritage sites. First visit is Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a 5th century fortress rising dramatically above plains. Climb past popular frescoes, Mirro Wall and Lion’s Paws to arrive the summit. Enjoy stunning views of jungles and villages from top.

Next visit Dambulla Cave Temple, which has five caves with over 150 Buddha statues and murals from 1st century BC.

In evening return to hotel in Sigiriya for overnight stay.

Enjoy breakfast and prepare for journey to Polonnaruwa. Enjoy city tour of ancient city of Polonnaruwa and see royal palaces, sacred shrines and monumental stupas. Visiting Royal Palace of King Parakramabahu and Gal Vihara will teach you so much about the history of region.

You may go for optional tour at Hiriwadunna Village to experience rural Sri Lankan lifestyle like bullock car ride and enjoy traditional village meals. In evening go to hotel back in Sigiriya for night stay.

After breakfast journey towards Kandy, the last royal capital of Sri Lanka. On the way stop at Spice Garden and admire spices like cinnamon, pepper and cardamon.

In Kandy go see the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, the most popular Buddhist shrines and then go to Kandy Lake for a serene walk. Stay the night in Kandy.

Enjoy breakfast and travel to Nuwara Eliya through scenic mountain landscapes. On the way stop at Ramboda Falls and take in stunning views and then to a tea factory where you learn the tea making process. While there enjoy freshly brewed cup of popular Ceylon Tea.

At Nuwara Eliya, commonly ‘Little England’ we take travellers for city tour to explore colonial architecture, visit Victoria Park and finally tour Gregory Lake.

Enjoy breakfast and head to the southern coast through Galle to Bentota. Visit Galle Fort, marked with cobbled streets, colonial buildings, boutique shops with European influence. Continue journey to Bentota and stay overnight.

Enjoy breakfast and explore nature by visiting sites like Madu River and Turtle Hatchery. At Madu River enjoy boat safari through the mangrove and island villages and birdwatching. Learn about marine conservation at Turtle Hatchery and see development of hatchlings.

Engage also in optional water sports like jet skiing, snorkeling and banana boat rides in Bentota and later head to Beach for a relaxing walk and sunset views.

After breakfast travel to Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka. Enjoy Colombo city tour if time will be enough. Visit Gangaramaya Temple and marvel at the architecture which blend Sri Lankan, Thai, Indian and Chinese cultures.

Also tour the Independence Square, Lotus Tower which is tallest structure in South Asia and enjoy panoramic views. Go to Galle Face Green for ocean views.
