However it is important to understand the purpose of your entry and then you should choose the convenient visa for your stay such as tourist visa, transit visa or visit visa.
According to the purpose of your visit, there are a few visa options since Bahrain citizens do not need a visa to enter Dubai, Bahrain residents can follow visa options as below.
On Arrival Dubai visa which can be stamped at the airport without any pre-arrangements, is a facility offered by UAE Immigration for nationalities from a limited number of countries. There are four types of on arrival visas, three of them are free and the other type can be arranged by doing a payment. So if you are a national of on arrival visa eligible country, you can get your passport stamped without any pre arrangements.
If you do not have a passport from an on arrival visa eligible country, for example if you are a passport holder of a country like Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Egypt, Turkey, or Jordan, you have to apply for a prepaid visa.
The residence visa allows you to work, live or continuously visit the UAE. Based on the purpose of stay there are three main types of residence visas.
The Blue Residency Visa was launched in May 2024 for the period of 10 years residency. The targeted audience is the people who have given massive contributions for the environment sustainability.
The Golden Residency Visa targets basically the skilled professionals to stay for the period of 5-10 years based on the category and their investment amount.
The Green Residency Visa is designed mainly for the highest qualified people, investors, graduate entrepreneurs etc. This visa does not require sponsors and if you are a green visa holder you can immediately sponsor your family to have a residence visa.
Based on your visa type, the documents are different.
As a Bahrain Passport holder you don’t need any document for an arrival visa. Just book your flight ticket and get ready with your baggage. Once you reach the airport your passport will be stamped for30 days, 60 days or 90 days.
If you hold a Resident Visa, you should apply for a prepaid visa. For your prepaid visa you should proceed with the following documents.
You need to provide a coloured copy of your passport and the passport should be valid for six months.
Other than the above documents, according to your resident visa type (Blue Visa, Golden Visa, Green Visa) you may need to provide additional documents. Please contact Arabiers for further details on these documents.

If you want to stay longer in Dubai, you should follow the below guidelines.
1. If you are a 30 day or 60 day prepaid visa holder you can do a 30 day – in-country visa extension for twice. (The price for one 30-day extension is 1190 AED). Do not need to exist in the country.
2. Can do Airport to Airport visa extension: Here you exit the country & get 30 day or 60 day new prepaid visa
3. Can do Oman run : Here the process is; the visa holder exits the country and goes to a nearest Middle East country like Oman and just takes a break of a few hours for visa processing. Once the process is done the visa holder gets back to the country.
(same like the A2A process just exits the border and getting a new 30 or 60 day visa. This is bit cheaper than A2A)
4. You can get a 90-day in-country visa. Without exiting the country.
